Forecast Good for Outdoor Concert Friday

Friday will be mostly sunny, according to the National Weather Service, as South Whitehall prepares to host its first outdoor concert at , with the rock band "Don Cunningham and Associates."

The concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. on June 15, in a section of the park where people can spread out on the ground with a blanket or take a seat at one of the park's many picnic benches.

Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 82 during the day. At night, the skies will be mostly clear, with a low around 55 degrees and a south wind of 5 mph, the weather service says.

The forecast is much brighter than two weeks ago, when township officials decided under the threat of rain.

The concert with Lehigh County Executive Don Cunningham and his six-piece rock band, Cunningham and Associates, celebrates the .  

Covered Bridge Park, framed by two covered bridges, is South Whitehall's premier park.
