Leaf Collection Resumes

Leaf collection is resuming in earnest in South Whitehall, a month after a fall felled tree branches and diverted public work crews to .

Had the snowstorm not occurred, the crews would have finished leaf collection last Friday instead of finally getting to the piles that residents have raked curbside or to the edge of the pavement.

crews will not pick up branches, shrubbery, garbage or building materials. Also, crews will not rake piles of leaves that are between parked cars or under them, so keep vehicles away from the areas where leaves are piled to make pickups easier.
