Multi-Vehicle Crash Closed Rt. 22 in South Whitehall

Six vehicles collided Wednesday on Route 22 in South Whitehall, closing the eastbound lanes for almost two hours, state police say.

Six vehicles collided on Route 22 Wednesday in South Whitehall, closing the eastbound lanes for nearly two hours, state police at Bethlehem said. 

The crash happened about 8 a.m. at mile marker 319.6 in the township, troopers said. The only injuries appeared to be minor, they said. 

The drivers were Elizabete Sirianni, 33, of Macungie; Neal Kramer, 64, of Macungie; Jeffrey Moser, 48, of Slatington; Courtney Clements of Jim Thorpe; Lincoln Murphy, 38 of Philadelphia and Omar Salinas, 58, of Newburg.

Responding to the accident scene -- in addition to state police -- were Cetronia Fire and EMS, South Whitehall Fire companies and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
