Two Sworn in to Police Civil Service Commission

Dr. Michael Langsam and Jerry Friedenheim were sworn in as members of the South Whitehall Township Police Civil Service Commission.

South Whitehall Township recently reappointed one resident to the Police Civil Service Commission and appointed another as an alternate commissioner.

Dr. Michael Langsam was reappointed to the commission for a term that ends June 2018. Jerry Friedenheim was appointed to be an alternate member of the commission. District Justice Jacob E. Hammond administered the Oath of Office to both men on Aug. 27.

The Police Civil Service Commission is responsible for setting the rules regulating the hiring and promotion of police officers and its own operating procedures, according to the township web site.
