Scott Exaros Named to South Whitehall Parks & Rec Board

Kratzer Elementary School teacher Scott W. Exaros has been appointed to South Whitehall's Parks and Recreation Board.

teacher Scott W. Exaros is the newest member of South Whitehall's Parks and Recreation Board.

The township commissioners recently appointed Exaros to the seven-member board, which advises commissioners on land development plans, parks and recreation programs.

Board members are not paid.

Exaros, 26, a fifth-grade teacher, has lived in South Whitehall for two years but grew up in the Lehigh Valley. He has taught in the for three years, according to information provided by the township.

He has been involved in many community and recreational activities.

Exaros replaces Edwin Rabenold, who retired from the board. 

The board generally meets at 7 p.m. on the fourth Monday of each month. Meetings are open to the public.

The township has many parks, including its crown jewel, , as well as 20 other neighborhood parks that offer playgrounds, ballfields and open space.
