South Whitehall Planners to Discuss New Drive-Thru, Bank at Tilghman Square
South Whitehall planners will discuss new development plans at Tilghman Square Shopping Center as well as a subdivision of property owned by Jordan Evangelical Church.
The South Whitehall Planning Commission will meet at 7:30 tonight to discuss two new buildings in the Tilghman Square Shopping Center and a subdivision of property owned by Jordan Evangelical Church.
The agenda says planners will first consider a preliminary/final plan review that would allow a 3,986-square-foot, one-story retail building, a 10,145-square-foot, two-story commercial building, and eight additional parking spaces on a 34-acre parcel at the southeast corner, or the Cetronia Road entrance, of the Tilghman Square Shopping Center.

Township Planner Gregg Adams said in October that the plans indicate the retail building would house a drive-thru restaurant to be named later. He said sketches for the proposed two-story building include the name "Univest Office."
In other business, planners will consider a request to subdivide the property at 5013 Snowdrift Road owned by Jordan Evangelical Church. The property is currently zoned rural residential and would subdivide 23.7 acres into one 2-acre lot and one 21.7-acre lot that includes a cemetery, dwelling, barn, two sheds and a parking lot.
