Thomas Johns to Seek Second Term as South Whitehall Commissioner

Tom Johns announced this week he plans to seek his second four-year term in 2013.

 

South Whitehall Commissioner Tom Johns has announced he will seek a second term in the 2013 election. First elected in 2009, Johns said he believes there is still more he can do for the township.

A private building contractor, Johns said he is proud of the accomplishments made during his first term.

"We made a lot of changes - we got a new solicitor and a new commercial inspection service that helped the township and citizens save money," Johns said.

With another four-year term, Johns wants to help maintain the "number one status of the township" as a place to live and do business.

"The township has become more user friendly to everybody - developers, builders and residents," Johns said.

He is also a Republican committee member in South Whitehall's District 8 and serves on the board of Treatment Trends in Allentown. He has lived in the township for 20 years and is married with one son.
