Viewfinder: Voter Turnout Slow But Steady For Primary

Candidates greeted voters this morning at the polling site at the Parkway Manor Elementary School gym.

Update at 8:54 p.m.: Polls have been closed nearly an hour, and votes are being tallied. Patch will give you the results as soon as they are in.

Candidates and their represenatives greeted voters at the polls today in South Whitehall, as voters made their way to cast ballots in the races for township commissioner, Lehigh County Commissioner, Parkland School Board and other countywide races.

By 9:25 a.m., 62 people had voted at the polling site at the Parkway Manor Elementary school gym.

“It’s been slow but steady,” said Michelle Weaver, judge of elections there.

Voter registration officials were , in part because of the cold, rainy weather. 

Township commissioner candidate Glenn Block and Lehigh County Judge candidate Melissa Pavlick were on hand to greet voters.
