Assistant Principal Named for Parkland High School
Theresa Stack, who has been acting assistant principal, replaces Harrison Bailey. The Parkland School Board hires a nurse and a teacher to replace those retiring.
The Parkland School Board on Tuesday appointed Theresa Stack as assistant principal of Parkland High School, replacing .
Bailey has served as acting principal at the high school for , who left on medical leave in January. Lessel subsequently resigned from Parkland in April and Bailey was of Liberty High School in Bethlehem.
Stack has been acting assistant principal while Bailey has been acting principal. She previously served as an instructional supervisor for five years, and also has served as a social studies teacher for 10 years, as well as department chair.

Her new salary will be $89,000, effective July 1.
Parkland Superintendent Richard Sniscak said in a prepared statement, “Theresa is a valuable member of the high school administration. She handles challenges in a calm and professional manner and is also a very sincere, articulate, dedicated and professional individual.”

In other personnel matters on Tuesday, the school board approved the hiring of two people. Carol A. Lawler of Orefield will work as a family consumer science teacher at Parkland High School, with an annual salary of $48,871 effective Aug. 28. Lawler replaces Gertrude Dover, who is retiring.
Also, Jacquelyn L. Zolotsky of Allentown will work as a school nurse at the high school, with an annual salary of $57,537 effective Aug. 28. Zolotsky replaces Mary Farrell, who is retiring.
