Parkland Schools Closed Tuesday Because of Frigid Winds

Wind chill factors are expected to make it feel like 20 below zero.

Parkland students will get their second snow day of 2014 Tuesday, thanks to the day's frigid forecast.

There will be no district transportation, but district offices will remain open, according to the Parkland Website.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory for all of the Lehigh Valley beginning at midnight Monday and lasting through 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Temperatures are not expected to climb out of single digits on Tuesday, with windy conditions that will make it feel more like 20-below zero, according to the weather service.
