Parkland School Board members appointed Beth Breiner as coordinator of educational technology at their meeting Tuesday night.
Breiner replaces Jason Henry, who was recently appointed secondary curriculum supervisor. She will assist the district administration in the development, coordination and implementation of an appropriate plan of technology utilization for instructional technology in grades K-12.
"Ms. Breiner is a top notch, high-caliber professional who is exceptionally knowledgeable," said Tracy Smith, assistant to the superintendent of operations. "She has a great personality and I know she'll be a great fit for the technology department."
According to a press release, Breiner most recently served as an instructional coach with Commonwealth Connections Academy. She previously served as technology integration specialist for the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit 21 and prior to that she served as technology integration specialist for the Colonial Intermediate Unit 20.
Breiner holds a bachelor's degree from East Stroudsburg University, a master's degree from Western Kentucky University, and an Instructional Technology Specialist Certificate from DeSales University.
