Parkland Hires New Assistant Director Of School Services

Kurt Schreefer most recently served as project manager/assistant director of operations at Moravian College in Bethlehem.

The Parkland School Board voted Tuesday to hire Kurt Schreefer as assistant director of school services at the Building.

The effective date is yet to be determined.

Schreefer replaces , who will become the new director of school services upon later this fall.

Assistant Superintendent told the school board that initially there were 79 candidates for the position.

Schreefer will be paid an annual salary of $80,000, to be prorated.

Schreefer’s career includes 30 years of experience as a mechanical engineer in manufacturing and institutional environments. Most recently, Schreefer served as the project manager/assistant director of operations at Moravian College in Bethlehem. He has experience with building maintenance and renovation, new construction and planning of campus infrastructure.

In a prepared statement, Superintendent said, “We were impressed by his overall professionalism and his background as well as his excellent communication and organizational skills, and believe he will be a positive role model, a team player and a motivating force within the Parkland School District.”
