Parkland Schedules Make-Up Days for Students
Tuesday's cold weather pushed Parkland past its inclement weather days for the school year.
Parkland students were supposed to have Valentine's Day off this year. But instead, they'll be in class, thanks to the Polar Vortex.
The cold snap that kept most area students home on Tuesday was also Parkland's fourth inclement weather day for the 2013/2014 school year. The first two will be made up as teacher/professional development days.
That means students will now in school on two days they were supposed to have off: Friday, Feb. 14 and Thursday, April 17.
Any other snow days will be made up beginning Monday, June 16, the district said on its website.
