Parkland School Board Congratulates Bailey

Harrison Bailey III will be leaving Parkland High School to become principal of Liberty High School in Bethlehem.

Parkland School Board members and Superintendent Richard Sniscak took a few minutes during their meeting Tuesday to congratulate Harrison Bailey III for his recent appointment as principal of Liberty High School in Bethlehem.

Bailey has been acting principal at for Principal Howard Lessel, who has been on medical leave from Parkland since January.

Lessel officially resigned from Parkland last week and then, this week, Bailey was appointed as .

Prior to being named acting principal of Parkland High School, Bailey was the school’s assistant principal for 10 years and previously was dean of students.

Parkland School Board member David Kennedy congratulated Bailey on his new position and said, “He’s an outstanding individual.”

School board member Roberta Marcus agreed, and told Bailey, who was in the audience, “Your legacy here will be well felt for years to come.”

Sniscak said he has known Bailey since graduate school. Also, Sniscak said, he told Bailey that one day their paths might cross again.
