Parkland Seeks Nominees for Alumni Wall of Honor

Parkland's Wall of Honor aims to recognize notable alumni in arts, sports, business and other areas.

 

The Parkland School District Education Foundation is seeking nominations for the high school's Distinguished Alumni Wall of Honor.

The program, launched in the last school year, is designed to recognize notable Parkland alumni, not only in tribute to them but also in hopes the recognition will inspire students and the community.

In May,  kicked off the program when , including an actress, opera singer, former NFL tight end, business and education leaders.

Nominees must be at least 25. Applications must be received by Dec. 30.

According to the criteria listed in the district's latest newsletter, nominees must have demonstrated:

  • Outstanding accomplishments in their field
  • Commitment to their community
  • Service
  • Positive impact on people
  • Recognition locally or worldwide
  • Contribution to humanity
  • Other factors determined relevant by the selection committee
