Snow Extends Marking Period, Report Cards by 2 Days

Winter storms have forced Parkland School District to adjust schedules.

The Parkland School District has extended the current marking period by two days because of the snow days that has forced class cancellations.

Thus, according to a post on the district’s Website, the distribution of report cards has also been extended by two days.

Early dismissal for teacher professional development will still occur as scheduled on Friday at 1 p.m. for middle school students and 1:45 p.m. for elementary school pupils.

Parkland High School will conduct mid-term exams on Friday and Monday with dismissal occurring at 11:05 a.m. both days.

High school staff will conduct teacher professional development on Tuesday with early dismissal at 1 p.m.
