Crowds Race to See NASCAR's Tony Stewart

Fans lined the exterior of Office Depot in South Whitehall in the summer heat for a few seconds with the famous NASCAR driver Tony Stewart.

No one seemed to mind the summer heat Thursday outside the in South Whitehall. NASCAR driver Tony Stewart was in town!

Hundreds of people gathered in hopes of shaking the NASCAR driver's hand and getting his autograph.

The program started later than scheduled due to a flight delay, but everyone was smiles as Stewart and the team from the Office Depot Foundation gave 4,000 backpacks to local service organizations and school districts, including and KidsPeace.

Some happy tears also were shed.

Boca Raton, FL, resident Mary Wong, president of the Office Depot Foundation, was on-site to welcome Stewart, a "good friend." Through the "National Backpack Program," 400,000 backpacks have been donated nationally this year by the Office Depot Foundation.

Afterward, Stewart was scheduled to sign autographs to get a spot for an autograph.
