Get Out: Fun Things to Do This Weekend
Go back in time with dinosaurs. Take a tour of a designer home. See the work of talented artisans. Listen to a handbell concert. There's a lot to do in and around South Whitehall this weekend.
1. at Dorney Park
When/Where: opens for the 2012 season at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 28. The park will be open only on weekends (Friday through Sunday) through May 25. Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom opens daily beginning Saturday, May 26.

Pricing: Tickets to the park are $48.99 but can be purchased online for $28.99 up to Memorial Day and $39.99 beyond Memorial Day. Junior tickets are $29.99 but can be purchased online for $24.99. Tickets to Dinosaurs Alive! are an additional $5.

When/Where: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, at the Jewish Community Center, 702 N. 22nd St., Allentown.
Why Go: More than 30 artisans will showcase their one-of-a-kind pieces, and actors from the JCC's theater group will perform songs from “Fiddler on the Roof."

When/Where: 11 a.m. beginning Saturday, April 28, and daily through May 20 at 1770 Pleasant View Rd, Coopersburg.
Why Go: Every two years the Society of the Arts takes over a home; designers take a room or section of yard and work their magic. Proceeds benefit SOTA Print Fund and educational programs of the Allentown Art Museum.

When/Where: 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, at , 1533 Springhouse Road, South Whitehall.
Why Go: Experience the sights and sounds of handbells, and handchimes spanning seven octaves. The Jubilation Ringers, Apostle Ringers, Rejoicing Ringers and Young Christian Ringers participate.
Pricing: Free-will offering.

When/Where: 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. outside , 1600 N. Cedar Crest Blvd., South Whitehall
Why Go: Learn the "rules of the road" and safety tips from South Whitehall Police. There will also be a bicycle road for youngsters, weather-permitting, so bring your bicycle and helmet.
