Applebee's Breakfast Fundraiser for Police Dog and Musikfest This Weekend Around South Whitehall

  • The Parkland Community Library will hold its 23rd annual Book Sale Friday and Saturday at the Asbury Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Rd, Allentown. Friday hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is sponsored by Friends of the Parkland Community Library.
  • Computer Basics Internet Skills class will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave. Call 610-398-1361 for details.
  • Hounds on Working Leashes (HOWL) is hosting a breakfast fundraiser from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday at Applebee's, 1510 N. Cedar Crest Blvd., to help pay for a ballistic vest for South Whitehall's newest police dog, Cirrus. Tickets cost $8 for an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast. Boy Scout Troop 8 will donate proceeds from a car wash they will hold in the Applebee's parking lot from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. 
  • Miller-Keystone Blood Center Blood Drive will be held from 9 a.m. 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Newhard Farms Corn Shed, 3250 Mauch Chunk Road. Free corn to all registered donors.
