Police: Bixler's Jewelers Robbery May Be Linked to Another Brazen Robbery

Authorities say violent Berwyn home invasion and armed robbery Thursday may be linked to similar Bixler's Jewelers robbery in December.

Authorities are working to find four masked and armed gunmen who pulled off a brazen home invasion and double robbery Thursday in Berwyn and East Norriton -- a crime eerily similar to a Bixler's Jewelers robbery in South Whitehall in December. On Thursday night, the owner of Shuler Jewelers in East Norriton and his wife were held up at gunpoint in their Berwyn home. The couple was bound with duct tape and the jewlery store owner was forced to take two of the gunmen to his store while his wife was held bound at gunpoint inside their home, according to a story on Tredyffrin-Easttown Patch. Tredyffrin Police detectives are now working with the FBI and several regional law enforcement agencies to see if Thursday's crime is connected to the …

Bixler's Robbery Get-a-Way Car Dumped in Salisbury

South Whitehall Police report the FBI is now assisting their investigation of the Dec. 28 armed robbery.

The car driven by three armed robbers leaving Bixler's Jewelers Friday, Dec. 28, was found Sunday in a residential Salisbury Township neighborhood, according to South Whitehall Police Investigator Jerome Cramer. It is the only new information Cramer had to report about a "sophisticated" crime unlike any he's ever investigated. The jewelry store robbery was actually the second stage of a crime that started at the Bethlehem home of a longtime Bixler's employee. In its weekend crime summary, Bethlehem Police said a man and woman were robbed by armed gunmen at 1946 Kenny Drive and that the incident was being investigated jointly by Bethlehem and South Whitehall Township detectives.  The masked suspects broke through a back door, held a gun to…

Bixler's Jewelers Robbed Monday

South Whitehall police responded to a report of a "smash and grab" robbery at Bixler's Jewelers at 6 p.m. on Monday.

Bixlers Jewelers, which moved to the Shops at 3900 Hamilton Center in South Whitehall in late August, was robbed at about 6 p.m. on Monday by two men wearing masks and hooded sweatshirts, South Whitehall police said. The men smashed several display cases and grabbed several pieces of jewelry, then fled in a tan colored SUV, possibly a Chevrolet Tahoe. One of the men displayed a handgun as the SUV left the parking lot, police said. No registration was diplayed on the vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to call South Whitehall police at 610-398-0337. Bixlers Jewelers opened at 3900 Hamilton on Aug. 25, five days after the store closed its location on MacArthur Road in Whitehall Township and nearly five years after closing a location at…

Bixler's Jewelers Is Back In South Whitehall

The new location is at The Shops at 3900 Hamilton Center.

Bixler's Jewelers has come back to South Whitehall Township. The new location is in The Shops at 3900 Hamilton Center, a neighbor to the popular Talbots, Milk & Honey Kids and the Paperbag.  Opening day was Aug. 25, five days after the store closed its location on MacArthur Road in Whitehall Township and nearly five years after closing a location at the Village West Shopping Center in South Whitehall. The new store, which has easy access to Interstate 78 and Route 309, boasts a 3,000-square-foot showroom. “This has a lot more positives for us than the Whitehall location,” said store manager Nicole Griffiths.

“We found that the intersection with the major highways would be a huge draw. "Obviously, this store is a lot larger. It has a good…
