Cory James Maletsky pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter Thursday for fatally stabbing his half-brother Christopher Lloyd in South Whitehall last September after a drunken brawl, according to online court documents. Under the plea, Maletsky, 24, could be sentenced between four and 20 years, according to The Morning Call. Police had said the half-brothers and two other men were drinking alcohol and watching TV around a fire pit at 1521 N. Leh St. "[Lloyd] had an unfortunate tendency to become aggressive when he's drinking a lot of hard alcohol," Assistant District Attorney Steve VanNatten said according to an article in The Express-Times. A preliminary hearing for Cory J. Maletsky, charged with killing his half-brother, has been rescheduled for 10:30 a.m. Oct. 18 in Central Court at the Lehigh County Courthouse. Maletsky, 23, of South Whitehall, is charged with killing his half-brother Christopher Scott Lloyd during a fight at a friend's home on Sept. 15. The preliminary hearing was initially scheduled for Sept. 21. According to police, Maletsky, 23, killed Lloyd, 31, in a fight that broke out at Joshua M. Eisenhauer's home at 1521 N. Leh St., South Whitehall.

An obituary has been released for Christopher Scott Lloyd II, who police say was killed by his half-brother, Cory J. Maletsky, early Saturday. Meanwhile, a preliminary hearing for Maletsky is set for today (Sept. 21) at 2:45 p.m. in Central Court at the Lehigh County Courthouse. According to police, Maletsky, 23, killed Lloyd, 31, his half brother, on Saturday in a fight that broke out at Joshua M. Eisenhauer's home at 1521 N. Leh St., South Whitehall.

Police say a South Whitehall man died early Saturday after being stabbed in the stomach by his half brother.
A man is in jail and his half brother is dead after a drunken fight turned into a fatal stabbing early Saturday, police say. Cory J. Maletsky, 23, is charged with killing his half brother, Christopher Scott Lloyd II, 31. The two men, along with Joshua M. Eisenhauer and a fourth man known as "W.C.," were at Eisenhauer's home at 1521 N. Leh St. in South Whitehall Township. Police say the group was watching TV and then drinking alcoholic beverages around a fire pit. A fight started between Lloyd and Eisenhauer, then Lloyd and Maletsky. Maletsky said Lloyd had his hand around Maletsky's throat and was punching him in the side of the face, according to police.
