Rebecca Zukowski‐Gillespie, a "Cupcake Wars" finalist from Catasauqua, will make a guest appearance at the second annual Cupcakes for a Cause event at The Shops at 3900 Hamilton in South Whitehall. Zukowski‐Gillespie, the owner of Blondies bakery in Catasauqua, appeared on the Food Network's cupcake competition show last April. The event will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. next April 25 and benefits the Northeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The merchants invite shoppers to enjoy cupcakes and refreshments while taking advantage of deals and specials throughout the evening. Entrants will also be eligible for over $200 in drawings. Tracey Mathews launched Trixie's Treats, a mobile cupcake truck, in January. While food trucks are a more common sight in larger cities, they're somewhat novel in the Lehigh Valley. Trixie's Treats appears to be a hit with customers. Lines and smiles form as soon as the cheerful green cupcake truck pulls up and parks outside a business. Q. Name and type of business? A.
