Parkland School Board members unanimously approved hiring six teachers and a school nurse at their meeting Tuesday night. Hired were: -- Jeanmarie Evans of Nazareth, as a certified school nurse at Kratzer Elementary School, effective Aug. 28 at an annual salary of $49,071. She will be a temporary professional to replace Diane Schrimpe who moved to another assignment. -- Jaime L. Steigerwalt of Lehighton, as a math teacher at Orefield Middle School, effective Aug. 28 at an annual salary of $48,671. She is a temporary professional employee replacing Marcia Freidberg, who resigned. -- Andrea Meyers of Allentown, as a science teacher at Orefield Middle School, effective August 28, at an annual salary of $48,671, prorated.
