Teen Steals Alcohol from Garage, Police Say

A 16-year-old boy was taken into custody Sunday in the 5000 block of Derrick Drive in Orefield, Upper Macungie Police said.

A 16-year-old boy from Allentown was taken into custody Sunday for stealing several bottles of alcohol from a garage in the 5000 block of Derrick Drive in Orefield, Upper Macungie Police said. Police said they responded to a call at 8:11 p.m. that a boy had entered the garage, where he was confronted by the homeowner, and had fled on foot. The homeowner reported several bottles of alcohol had been taken. Police said the boy was caught sometime later in the 6300 block of Farm Bureau Road. Police said the boy was taken into custody and remanded to the Lehigh County Juvenile Detention Center.

Teen Hits Woman with Fire Extinguisher, Cops Say

South Whitehall Police report a 17-year-old boy assaulted a woman at an office building and then two others while he was fleeing the scene.

On Monday at 4 p.m., South Whitehall Police report a 17-year-old boy assaulted a woman with his hands and then got a fire extinguisher from the building, discharged it at her and then struck her with it at an office building at 1620 Pond Road. Police report the juvenile then left the building, damaged two vehicles in the parking lot and also assaulted two additional people in the lot. The female victim was transported to Lehigh Valley Health Network by Cetronia Ambulance Corps. The other two individuals refused treatment. Woodlawn Fire Company responded for a fire alarm activation at the Pond Road office building.
