Orefield's 'Call Me Maybe' Video Gets TV Airtime

Orefield Middle School teachers created a video to Carly Rae Jepsen's song, 'Call Me Maybe' that was featured on 'America's Funniest Home Videos.'

Orefield Middle School got its 15 minutes of fame Sunday on "America's Funniest Home Videos." Students and teachers danced and lipsynched to the words of Carly Rae Jepson's hit song “Call Me Maybe,” on a video that was featured in a montage on the TV show. Teachers Samantha Edwards, Dani Condly and Karen Cope, of "Team Galileo,"  who created the video earlier this year to bond with students, submitted it to the show after getting strong encouragement from students and parents.

Wow what an awesome video! It's great to see teachers taking the time in the beginning of the year to get to know their students and build that community with them! Teaching is so much more than instructional time. Teachers need to take the time to get to know the kids and let them get to know each other! Great job!   more ›

I think this is a very cool idea. I went to SMS but our teacher were just as fun. It is nice to take a little part of the day to show a different side of a teacher. Students only see one side of teachers but with days that involve videos or game were can see how a teacher acts outside of school and connect with them better! GOOD LUCK TEACHERS!   more ›
