Schnecksville Elementary Students Run in the Turkey Trot
Schnecksville Elementary School 4th- and 5th-graders ran in the Turkey Trot - a mile-long run kids have been doing for more than four decades.

Students at Schnecskville Elementary School were pumped up Monday afternoon for the mile-long run also known as the Turkey Trot. Joe O'Brien, the physical education teacher, said it can be a fairly daunting race for some. "You always have those kids who are more hesitant and don't want to do it but it's a team building experience," O'Brien said. "I've been brought to tears two times since doing this when I've watched a kid with low self-esteem get cheered on by all their friends and finish the race."
