State police at Fogelsville say they are looking for a thin-built black man with dreadlocks in connection with the slashing of five people, including a 19-year-old Wescosville woman.
Five people, including a 19-year-old Wescosville woman, were slashed or stabbed in fights that broke out early Saturday at a large party at 8996 Kings Highway in Lynn Township, state police at Fogelsville said. Police are looking for a suspect in connection with the slashings. He is described as a thin-built black man with dreadlocks, between the ages of 18 and 21. Police said several fights broke out during the party, and the five people were slashed or stabbed by an edged weapon. After everyone disbursed, a gunshot was fired in the area of the residence, police said. Police did not name the victims or say whether they were taken to hospitals. Two men are charged in connection with a theft at Walmart in Lower Macungie that ended in a police chase for a fake carjacking, state police at Fogelsville say.
Two Allentown men are in custody following a police chase that began Friday in Lower Macungie after one man stole baby formula from the Walmart in the township then lied that his vehicle had been carjacked, state police at Fogelsville said. The chase ended in Allentown, with police taking the second man who fled in the vehicle into custody at Seventh and Union streets, police said. Hector Vincente Rosa, 42, and Stephen "NMN" Rodriguez, 34, face charges that include retail theft and fleeing and eluding, police said. Twelve people, including two from Fogelsville and three from Orefield, have been cited for underage drinking at a Feb. 3 party at a Weisenberg Township home, state police at Fogelsville said. The alleged underage drinking took place at 4542 Senny Court. The home is the residence of LeRoy Sorensen, vice-president of the Northwestern Lehigh School Board, according to a report by The Morning Call. State police said they cited Christopher Rice, 18, of Fogelsville; and Hunter Culp, 20, Christopher Ruch, 20, and Brett Austin, 18, all of Orefield, with underage drinking. A 23-year-old Allentown man faces charges of trying to elude police in a high-speed chase that started in South Whitehall and ended in Slatingon. A felony arrest warrant was issued for Brady Wyatt Gruver by District Judge Jacob Hammond, whose office is in South Whitehall. State police at Fogelsville said they initiated a traffic stop at 12:50 a.m. Dec. 5 on eastbound Route 22 near Route 309 in South Whitehall on a green Volkswagen Jetta. But the driver didn't stop, and a chase ensued to Whitehall, Allentown, North Whitehall, Washington Township and Slatington, police said. The following information was supplied by state police at Fogelsville.
Eleven puppies were found dead, some partially inside a plastic bag, off Quarry Road near Lower Macungie Park. State police at Fogelsville said the puppies were found about 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, by someone reporting suspected animal abuse. Police said the dead puppies were on the side of the road, their fur removed. The Morning Call reported earlier this month that a dog had been found on the side of Route 863 in Lynn Township & that it appeared to have been skinned and cooked. State police are investigating. A traffic stop Tuesday on Interstate 78 in Upper Macungie resulted in the arrest of a 20-year-old man wanted for a convenience store robbery while wearing a 'Spider-Man' mask. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.
A 20-year-old man wanted for the armed robbery of a convenience store in Susquehanna County while wearing a Spider-Man mask was arrested Tuesday along Interstate 78 in Upper Macungie following a traffic stop. Louis Sherman, of Clifford Township, Susquehanna County, was stopped at 10:22 p.m. on I-78 near mile marker 48.4 after state police allegedly saw him driving erratically. Another person was in the vehicle. Sherman was later charged with DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving violations. At first, he falsely told police he was "Michael Sherman," then told police he had given them a wrong name because an arrest warrant had been issued for him on a robbery charge, according to the arrest affidavit. Three people have been charged with intent to deliver heroin following a traffic stop on Interstate 78 in Upper Macungie on Wednesday. Alicia Atkinson, 35, Todd Lamont Holmes, 43, and Lateef Stubblefield, 39, all of Pittsburgh, each face charges of conspiracy and possession with intent to deliver heroin. Stubblefield also faces a charge of marijuana possession.
