The Sanctuary at Haafsville, located at 901 Nestle Way in Breinigsville, offers many lovable cats and dogs for adoption. Here, we feature two cats: ANGIE: This 15-year-old small, tan cat found herself homeless when her owner passed away in 2012. She is a friendly, older cat who would make a good pet for someone, particularly an elderly owner. She is spayed and neutered, up-to-date with routine shots and house trained. South, North Whitehall Pick Haafsville Sanctuary over Humane Society

Both South and North Whitehall townships recently opted for an animal control contract with The Sanctuary at Haafsville but North Whitehall gets a sweeter deal.

  Citing significant cost savings, both South Whitehall and North Whitehall chose to award their animal control contracts to The Sanctuary at Haafsville instead of the Lehigh County Humane Society, but North Whitehall appears to have the better deal. In South Whitehall, the Humane Society bid $10,200 for a 2013 annual contract and The Sanctuary bid $6,000. In North Whitehall, The Sanctuary is charging $50 to collect cats and $100 for dogs.  North Whitehall supervisors didn't even consider a bid from the Humane Society this year.
