Firefighter Injured at Charlie Brown's Blaze

Eight stations helped fight a fire at the former Charlie Brown's Restaurant on Walbert Avenue early this morning.

One township firefighter got a minor hand burn while battling this morning’s blaze in the former Charlie Brown’s Restaurant at 1908 Walbert Ave.

Crews responded at about 1 a.m. to the structure fire that was mostly concentrated in the back of the building and inside, said of .

Held said crews from , , Tri-clover, Western Salisbury, Allentown, Whitehall and Catasauqua responded also responded. He also said the injured fighter had only a minor injury and was treated and released.

The restaurant has been boarded up and vacant, and there is no official cause of the fire yet. Held said the township fire inspector will continue the investigation.

No one else was injured.
