New Medical Office Building Rises on Hamilton Blvd.

A new three-story medical office building is rising on Hamilton Boulevard, next door to

Developer Ed Novak said the 45,000-square-foot building is being leased by Lehigh Valley Health Network.

The first floor will be parking, with two levels -- and 30,000 square feet of office space -- above it.

Since site preparation, the office building has been rising quickly on Hamilton Boulevard, not far from the intersection with Cedar Crest Boulevard.

Novak expects the building frame to be completed in early July. Interior and site work will follow. He said he expects the building will be finished by early December.

Novak Ventures Inc. is the owner and general contractor on the building. 

The stretch of Hamilton Boulevard where the office building is going up has been the site of much recent activity. 

has purchased the land across the street, where a Burger King and video store once operated. The real estate company that handled the transaction said the land will be banked for now but that a hotel is likely to be constructed on the site.

Also in the block, another will be constructed at the site of a former miniature golf business. 

Also, jeweler closed after decades at the corner of Hamilton and Cedar Crest boulevards. No plans have been announced for that site.
