Burglar Takes Pit Bull Puppies in South Whitehall

Someone broke into a South Whitehall home, ransacked it and stole nine pit bull puppies, township police say.

A burglar broke into a home on Jennie Avenue in South Whitehall and ransacked the house before taking nine pit bull puppies, according to South Whitehall police. 

The break-in was reported about 9:55 a.m. Aug. 27 at 2368 Jennie Avenue. The house was reportedly ransacked and nine pit bull puppies were taken, police said.

The investigation is continuing.

Another burglary was reported recently in the township. 

-- On Aug. 27 at 7:09 p.m., a burglary of a home was reported at 3330 W. Highland Street. Cash was reportedly taken from a car inside a garage.
