Fishermen Cited for Lighting Campfire, Police Say
No fish tale: No campfires allowed while fishing, South Whitehall Police say.
Some fishermen who wanted to keep warm by a campfire or maybe cook their catch on the first day of trout fishing season last Saturday in Covered Bridge Park were cited with violating a township ordinance, according to South Whitehall police.
The fishermen, who were in the 2400 block of Wehr Mill Road, apparently violated an ordinance that prohibits campfires while fishing, according to police.
