Join Your Neighbors for National Night Out at Covered Bridge Park

The third annual National Night Out event will be held Aug. 6 at Covered Bridge Park in South Whitehall.

South Whitehall will hold its third annual National Night Out on Aug. 6 at Covered Bridge Park.

The nationwide event, held every year on the first Tuesday of August, is designed to heighten awareness of crime prevention programs and generate support for local anti-crime programs. Last year, more than 400 people attended National Night Out at Covered Bridge Park, the largest ever.

The family event is free and will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., rain or shine, at Covered Bridge Park, 2465 Wehr Mill Road.

It's an opportunity to meet your neighbors, police officers, emergency personnel, crime watch members, businesses and non-profit organizations that serve the community.

South Whitehall will hold a variety of activities, including children’s fingerprinting and bike safety. Food and refreshments will be available.
