National Night Out Drew 400 People to Park

South Whitehall Police Chief Tom Toth told commissioners on Wednesday that the township's National Night Out this month was a success.

 

More than 400 people turned out for National Night Out at earlier this month, making the event a success, South Whitehall Police Chief Tom Toth told commissioners at their meeting Wednesday night.

Toth thanked the many participants, which included area businesses and groups, and those who provided raffle prizes and donations.

Commissioner Board President Tori Morgan said, "I just see this thing getting bigger and better every single year."

Toth noted the work by the township's public work crews in preparing the park for the event, members of the two crime watch groups in helping run the event and collect donations, and police department employee Melissa Hudak, who helped organize the event.

Among the participants were , , Vector Security, , St. Luke's University Health Network, Pocono Raceway, Air Products, Get Your Bounce on Fun, Luni Tunz DJ, CERT and therapy dogs.
