Police Blotter: Thefts Reported at Luther Crest

The following information was supplied by the South Whitehall Police Department.

South Whitehall police are investigating four reports of thefts at the retirement community over the past two weeks. 

According to police, the following were stolen:

-- A gold ring from a room, reported at 1:24 p.m. on Nov. 7.

-- $60 from another room, at 1:24 p.m. on Nov. 7.

-- $50 from a room, at 1:50 p.m. on Nov. 3.

-- $42, location not given, at 2 p.m. on Oct. 31.

At least four were reported at Luther Crest in October, police have said.

According to South Whitehall police, the following were also among the incidents that occurred in the township from Oct. 31 to Nov. 9:

Other Thefts

-- Cellphone stolen at ; reported at 1:23 p.m. on Nov. 9.  

-- Two 10- to 12-foot downspouts stolen from the 4200 block of Briarcliff Road; reported at 9:23 a.m. on Nov. 9.

-- Change purse containing $20 and miscellaneous cards stolen from Crest Plaza; reported at 11:23 a.m. on Nov. 8.

-- Cellphone stolen at ; reported at 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 8.

-- Copper from a downspout, valued at $700, stolen from the 2700 block of Highland Street; reported at 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 5.

-- Wallet and cash stolen from the , 3100 W. Tilghman St.; reported at 3:51 p.m. on Nov. 4.

-- A license plate was stolen from ; reported at 9:33 a.m. on Oct. 28.

Burglary

-- Concession stand broken into at ; not yet known if anything was taken; reported at 10:23 a.m. on Nov. 7.

-- Copper stolen from the 2400 block of Walbert Avenue; reported at 4:22 a.m. on Nov. 5.

-- $200 stolen from , 3125 Tilghman St.; reported at 10 a.m. on Nov. 3.

Criminal Mischief

-- Window smashed on vehicle in the 1400 block of North 19th Street; reported at 8:15 a.m. on Nov. 8.

-- Vehicle scratched in the 1100 block of North Glenwood Street; reported at 9 p.m. on Oct. 31.

Theft from Vehicle

-- Black briefcase, change and two telecom handsets stolen from vehicle in the 1600 block of North 19th Street; window smashed; reported at 7:50 a.m. on Nov. 8.

-- GPS and iPod stolen from vehicle in the 1600 block of North 19th Street; window smashed; reported at 7:45 a.m. on Nov. 8.

-- $20 stolen from vehicle in the 1500 block of North 19th Street; window smashed; reported at 7 a.m. on Nov. 8.

-- Six CDs and $8 in change stolen from vehicle in the 1500 block of North 19th Street; reported at 7 a.m. on Nov. 8.

-- Change taken from vehicle, in the 3600 block of Congress Street; driver side window smashed; reported at 7:42 a.m. on Nov. 7.

-- CB radio and GPS unit stolen from a vehicle in a parking lot in the 1900 block of Pope Road; reported at 5:30 a.m. on Nov. 3.

-- Wallet and cash stolen from a vehicle in the 2500 block of Rose Lane; reported at 7:37 a.m. on Nov. 2.

Found Property

-- Red bicycle found in roadway, at Springhouse Road and Kilmer; found at 3:25 p.m. on Nov. 7.

Accident 

-- One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash, on Route 309 at the Route 22 west ramp; at 4:09 p.m. on Nov. 8; one vehicle was towed from the scene.

-- Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 10:29 p.m. on Nov. 3; both vehicles were towed from the scene.

-- One person was injured in a three-vehicle crash in the 100 block of North Cedar Crest Boulevard, at 9:24 a.m. on Oct. 31.
