Bike Rack, GPS, Chain Saws among Items Stolen from Vehicles
The following information was supplied by South Whitehall police.
According to police, the following incidents were to police from Aug. 1 to Aug. 16:
Theft from vehicle

* Coins were taken from a vehicle in the 1600 block of Fairmont Street; reported at 12:35 p.m. on Aug. 13.
* A GPS was taken from a vehicle in the 1900 block of Grove Street; reported at 7:38 a.m. on Aug. 13.

* A purse, helmets and jackets were taken from a vehicle in the 1500 block of N. 25th Street; reported at 7:05 a.m. on Aug. 13.
* A roof mount and a bike/kayak rack were taken from a vehicle in the 2500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.; reported at 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 6.
* Four chain saws valued at $6,000 were taken from vehicle at the ; reported 6:21 a.m. on Aug. 1.
Forged checks
Five forged checks totaling $1,600 were reportedly passed at the Rodeway Inn; reported at 1:20 p.m. on Aug. 6.
Burglary
* A PlayStation was taken from a room at the Rodeway Inn; reported at 6:15 p.m. on Aug. 4.
* A burglary was reported at Wells Fargo Financial Center, 4203 Tilghman St. The burglary is still under investigation and items taken were not yet disclosed.
