Police Blotter: A Burglary, Auto Theft and Forgery Among Reports

The following information was supplied by the South Whitehall police department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

According to  Police, the following were among the incidents that occurred in the township from Jan. 27 to Feb. 2.

Burglary:

  • Jewelry and an iPhone was taken from a residence in the 3100 block of Park Place; reported at 8:27 a.m. on Jan. 30.

Auto Theft:

  • A 2012 black Nissan Maxima was stolen from Rothrock, 1648 Plaza Lane; reported at 1:38 p.m. on Feb. 1.

Theft:

  • An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from the , 3100 W. Tilghman St.; reported at 11:27 a.m. on Feb. 1.
  • $20 in cash and credits cards was stolen from someone’s purse at restaurant; reported at 6:57 p.m. on Jan 30.
  • A bottle of vodka, freeze pops and ice cream sandwiches were taken from a garage in the 1600 block of Pennsylvania Street; reported at 8:18 p.m. on Jan. 29.
  • A pole was taken out of the ground and street signs were stolen, at 22nd and Grove streets; reported at 4:08 p.m. on Jan. 29.

Forgery

  • Counterfeit checks were passed at ; reported at 10 a.m. on Jan. 27.

Theft from Vehicle

  • $5 in change was taken from a vehicle parked in the 2000 block of Huckleberry Road; reported at 10:39 a.m. on Jan. 31.
  • $20 worth of lottery tickets and change were taken from a vehicle parked in the 1900 block of Columbia Street; reported at 8:59 a.m. on Jan. 31.
  • $1 in change was taken from a vehicle parked in the 1500 block of Abigail Lane; reported at 7:54 a.m. on Jan. 31.

Charged:

Michael Rohs, 50, of Allentown, with simple assault and harrassment; at 8:48 p.m. on Feb. 2, in the 3900 block of Broadway.

Charged:

A 17-year-old boy, with possession of marijuana; at 10:25 a.m. on Feb. 2, at Parkland High School.

Accidents:

  • A pedestrian was struck in an accident in the 2200 block of Village Road; at 8:11 p.m. on Jan. 29. Additional information was not immediately available.
  • A pedestrian was struck in the crosswalk at Target, 1600 N. Cedar Crest Blvd.; reported at 1:50 p.m. on Jan. 29. Additional information was not immediately available.
  • One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash at Tilghman Street and Route 309; reported at 5:55 p.m. on Jan. 28. Additional information was not immediately available.
  • One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash in the 1400 block of Cedar Crest Boulevard; reported at 5:55 p.m. on Jan. 27. Additional information was not immediately available.
