Police Blotter: Thieves Steal Money, Jewelry and Holiday Lights

The following information was supplied by the South Whitehall Police Department.

According to South Whitehall police, the following were among the incidents that occurred in the township from Dec. 14 to Dec. 22.

Theft

-- A Christmas wreath and lights were stolen from the 500 block of N. 30th Street; reported at 7:49 p.m. on Dec. 21.

-- An iPod was stolen at Parkland High School; reported at 6:48 p.m. on Dec. 20.

-- A purse, wallet, $50, credit cards and car keys were stolen from Planet Fitness; reported at 5:06 p.m. on Dec. 20.

-- A playstation, games and 10 DVDs were taken from the ; reported at 8:14 p.m. on Dec. 19.

-- A bracelet, earrings, ring and purse were taken from the 3600 block of Oakwood Trail; reported at 4:28 p.m. on Dec. 19.

-- Jewelry was taken from the Rodeway Inn; reported at 1:40 p.m. on Dec. 19.

-- Three gold bracelets, a diamond bracelet and a $500 check were taken from the 2700 block of Pennsylvania Street; reported at 2:03 p.m. on Dec. 16.

Theft from vehicle

There were several reports of items being stolen from vehicles:

-- An iPod and cash were taken from a vehicle parked at ; reported at 8 a.m. on Dec. 22.

-- A purse, $150 and various cards were stolen from a vehicle parked outside the at ; reported at 11:53 a.m. on Dec. 21.

-- A purse was taken from a vehicle outside ; reported at 7:28 p.m. on Dec. 20.

-- A purse was taken from a vehicle outside ; reported at 10:52 a.m. on Dec. 20.

-- Loose change and several CDs were taken from a Jeep in the 2000 block of Donna Drive; reported at 7:05 a.m. on Dec. 20.

-- A purse and $400 were taken from a vehicle outside Planet Fitness; reported at 11:23 a.m. on Dec. 14.

-- Two bottles of Advil and $10 were taken from the 1200 block of Marshall Street; reported at 8 a.m. on Dec. 15.

Attempted theft from vehicle

-- A car was rummaged through in the 1900 block of Breckenridge Court but nothing was taken; reported at 7:59 a.m. on Dec. 19.

Retail theft

-- Xbox accessories were stolen from ; reported at 2 p.m. on Dec. 20.

Counterfeit

-- Someone passed a fake $20 bill at ; reported at 5:57 p.m. on Dec. 21.

Criminal mischief

-- Tires were punctured on a vehicle parked at LA Fitness; reported at 10 a.m. on Dec. 22.

-- Windows were broken on a van in the 4200 block of Briarcliff; reported at 9:12 p.m. on Dec. 21.

-- Graffiti was spraypainted on a Route 22 bridge at 28th Street; reported at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 21.

-- A rear door was damaged at P.J. Whelihan's; reported at 12:37 a.m. on Dec. 20.

-- A brick was thrown through a window and a plastic baby Jesus taken, from the 1300 block of Country Lane; reported at 9:29 p.m. on Dec. 20.

-- Christmas lights were cut in the 1400 block of N. 26th St.; reported at 2:05 p.m. on Dec. 18.

-- A mailbox was damaged, and harrassing phone calls made, to a home in the 1800 block of Latta Street; reported at 6:14 p.m. on Dec. 16.

Accidents

Several people were injured in separate accidents:

-- Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Dec. 22 in the 3500 block of Hamilton Street.

-- Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 5:12 p.m. on Dec. 21 in the 400 block of Cetronia Road.

-- Three people were injured in a four-vehicle crash at Huckleberry Road and Cedar Crest Boulevard; reported at 4:56 p.m. on Dec. 16.
