Police Blotter: Retail Theft Alleged At Target; Other Arrests

South Whitehall police responded to a number of incidents from Feb. 1 to Feb. 7.

According to police, the following incidents and arrests occurred in the township from Feb. 1 to Feb. 7:

-- Theft reported at 3:40 p.m. on Feb. 1, at LA Fitness; a cell phone.

-- Arrested on suspicion of drunken driving at 8:35 p.m. on Feb. 1 at Helen and 21st streets, Douglas M. Hein, 47, of Allentown; charges pending blood alcohol test results.

-- Arrested on suspicion of drunken driving at 6:39 p.m. on Feb. 2 in the 1700 block of Platt Court, Holly Mattos, 42, of Allentown; charges pending blood alcohol test results.

-- Criminal mischief reported at 8:14 a.m. on Feb. 3 in the 3900 block of Wordsworth Street; window broken on vehicle.

-- Attempted burglary reported at 4:39 p.m. on Feb. 3, in the 2900 block of Reading Road.

-- Arrested on suspicion of drunken driving at 11:36 p.m. on Feb. 3 at N. 33rd Street and Winchester Avenue, Jennifer Kapun, 39, of Allentown; charges pending blood alcohol test results.

-- Arrested on suspicion of drunken driving at 2:33 a.m. on Feb. 3 in the 3900 block of Walbert Avenue, Nina A. Hoderewski, 21, of Allentown; charges pending blood alcohol test results.

-- Identity theft reported at 11:25 a.m. on Feb. 4; someone used another's Social Security number.

-- Charged with retail theft at 6:09 p.m. on Feb. 4 at Target, N. Cedar Crest Boulevard, Steven McLain, 34, of Allentown; two car stereos allegedly taken, valued at $254 total. 

-- Arrested on suspicion of drunken driving shortly after midnight on Feb. 5 at Routes 309 and 22, Malissa Walthall, 30, of Bethlehem; charges pending blood alcohol test results.

-- Arrested on suspicion of drunken driving at 2:31 a.m. on Feb. 5 at I-78 and Hamilton Boulevard, Richard Howard II, 24, of Oklahoma; charges pending blood alcohol test results.

-- Report of property damage from ice dislodging from a tractor trailer, striking a vehicle; at 2:40 p.m. on Feb. 4 at Route 309 and Tilghman Street.

-- A diamond ring was reported lost at 10:40 a.m. on Feb. 5 at the Wine & Spirits store on Cedar Crest Boulevard; value was not given.

-- Four separate reports of criminal mischief at 10:58 a.m. on Feb. 5, in the 1200 block of N. 27th Street, the 2700 block of Fairmont Street, the 2600 block of Fairmont Street, and the 1300 block of N. 26th Street; tires slashed.

-- A hit and run reported at 1:09 p.m. on Feb. 6 in the Weis market parking lot; vehicle hit.

-- Arrested on suspicion of drunken driving at 5:07 p.m. on Feb. 7, following a two-vehicle accident in the Tilghman Square parking lot, Leslie Greene, 30, of Allentown; charges pending blood alcohol test results.
