Rockland County, N.Y., Man Cited after Hamilton Blvd. Crash
State police at Fogelsville say man's Jeep rear-ends Acura near I-78 ramps in South Whitehall.
A man from Rockland County, N.Y., just north of the New Jersey line was cited after a minor crash last week on Hamilton Boulevard in South Whitehall.
State police at Fogelsville said a 2014 Jeep driven by Mark Wechsler, 65, of the Rockland County community of Pearl River rear-ended a 2013 Acura driven by Mary Lenahan-Durnin, 58, of Allentown.
The crash happened around 1:30pm Nov. 11.
The Acura was in the center lane of southbound Hamilton Boulevard, stopped at the red light near the eastbound Interstate 78 ramps when it was hit from behind by the Jeep, police said.
Wechsler suffered a minor injury while Lenahan-Durnin suffered an unknown injury, police said. But neither person was transported to a hospital. Macungie EMS had responded to the crash, police said.
Wechsler was cited for violating the "driving at safe speed" law.
His passenger, Jill Wechsler, 17, also of Pearl River, was not hurt.
