South Whitehall Police Blotter

The following information about reported crimes and arrests was supplied by the South Whitehall Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

According to South Whitehall police, the following incidents occurred in the township from June 15 to June 22:

Thefts

-- Theft reported at 6:38 p.m. on June 15 in the 1700 block of Stanley Street; handgun and jewelry taken.

-- Theft reported at 5:25 p.m. on June 15 at Best Line Equipment, 1315 Hausman Road; tractor and four tires and wheels taken.

-- Theft reported at 6:14 p.m. on June 15 at the Lehigh Valley Center for Sight, 1739 Fairmont St.; prescription pads taken.

-- Theft reported at 9:19 a.m. on June 18 on North 21st Street; purse taken from unlocked vehicle.

-- Theft reported at 3:20 p.m. on June 18 at Dorney Park; handbag taken.

-- Theft reported on June 18 at Dorney Park; cell phone taken.

-- Theft reported at 8:36 p.m. on June 18 at lot at Giant, 3070 Tilghman St.; 1991 Honda Accord taken, later found in Whitehall.

-- Thefts reported at Dorney Park between June 18 and June 20, backpacks taken.

-- Theft reported at 6:30 p.m. on June 21 in the 1200 block of North 23rd Street; money taken.

-- Theft reported at 11:53 a.m. on June 22 in the 700 block of Hausman Road; laptop taken.

Accidents

-- One person was reported injured in a two-vehicle accident at 6:45 a.m. on June 16 at the ramp of Route 309 North and Tilghman Street.

-- One person reported injured in a three-vehicle accident at 3:05 p.m. on June 17 in the 100 block of Cedar Crest Boulevard; one vehicle towed.

Criminal Mischief

-- Criminal mischief reported at 12:19 p.m. on June 16 in the lot of Cedar View Apartments; car scratched.

-- Criminal mischief reported at 4:57 p.m. on June 16 on Catherine Avenue; storm door glass vandalized.

-- Criminal mischief reported on June 18 in the 1000 block of North 20th Street; vehicle windshield smashed.

-- Criminal mischief reported on June 19 at 5:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Parkway Road; street sign removed.

-- Criminal mischief reported on June 19 at 10:17 p.m. in the 1000 block of Deerfield Drive; picnic table damaged.

-- Criminal mischief reported on June 21 between 7:45 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.; in the 3000 block of Liberty Street, 1000 block of Patricia Drive, lot of Cedar View Apartments and 3100 block of Park Place; vehicles spray-painted or damaged.

-- Criminal mischief reported on June 22 at 6:21 a.m., in the 3000 block of Reilly Road and 2500 block of Peach Tree; graffiti on the road, houses, and a sign.

Charges

-- Charged with theft by unlawful taking, Jamie Lynn Pettinato, 34, of Perkiomenville; police allege $800 taken from Burger King, reported at 3:55 p.m. on June 17.
