South Whitehall Police Report Fraud, Thefts, Inflatable Snow Globe Destroyed

Information from the South Whitehall Police blotter.

South Whitehall Police report the following incidents between Jan. 2 - 8:  

  • On Jan. 2 police report a student at Springhouse Middle School was found with a utility pocket knife on the property. Police are investigating.
  • On Jan. 2 at 3:27 p.m. police report a UPS package was stolen from 2850 Columbia St.
  • On Jan. 2 at 2:23 p.m. police report they were called to Springhouse Middle School for suspected marijuana.
  • On Jan. 2 at 5:32 p.m. police report a fake American Express Card was used at Queen Bee Boutique at 4658 Broadway.
  • On Jan. 3 at 12:06 p.m. police report copper piping was taken from 3727 Highland Ave. No value was listed.
  • On Jan. 3 at 1 p.m. police report suspects cut fencing in an attempted theft at Valley Stainless.
  • On Jan. 3 at 12:06 p.m. a male and female stole miscellaneous items valued at about $121.86 from Kmart. Police are still investigating.
  • On Jan. 3 at 4:24 p.m. police report an iPod Touch was stolen from Parkland High School.
  • On Jan. 3 at 8:24 p.m. police report a radio remote was taken from a car at 2007 Ruth St. Another car at this address was rummaged through but nothing was taken.
  • On Jan. 4 at 8:17 a.m. police report a fence was cut at Valley Stainless and steel was stolen. No estimated value was available.
  • On Jan. 4 at 11 a.m. police report fraud occurred when a person used a stolen ATM/Visa Card at Rothrock Motor Sales.
  • On Jan. 5 at 12:32 a.m. police report a burglary at 2316 Fairmont St. A television, computer, camera and jewelry were taken.
  • On Jan. 5 at 11:22 p.m. police report they were called to Red Robin because unruly patrons were harassing others.
  • On Jan. 6 at 3:04 a.m. police report there was an attempted burglary at Kmart and pry marks were found on the rear door.
  • On Jan. 6 at 12:39 a.m. police report loose change was taken from a car at 2522 Rose Lane.
  • On Jan. 7 at 4 a.m. police report an attempted theft from a vehicle at 1821 Brown St.
  • On Jan. 7 at 4:36 p.m. police report criminal mischief when an inflatable snow globe was slashed at 1535 N. Muhlenberg St.
  • On Jan. 7 at 8:38 p.m. police were called to a fire at 4186 Lim Kiln Road, where the wooden deck to the rear of the home was burned. A bucket of hot embers on the back porch near a trash car is the apparent cause.
  • On Jan. 7 at 9:26 a.m. police report someone illegally dumped in the dumpster at Dollar Tree at 3100 W. Tilghman St.
