South Whitehall Teen Charged in Parkland Graduation Fight

Richard Costello, 19, of South Whitehall was charged with disorderly conduct for a fight during Parkland High School's graduation ceremonies.

A South Whitehall teenager has been charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a fight at Parkland High School's graduation ceremonies on June 12, according to online court records.

Richard Costello, 19, of the 2300 block of Minnie Lane in South Whitehall was charged with disorderly conduct when he allegedly struck an unidentified man several times during the playing of the national anthem.

Parkland High School's graduation ceremonies took place June 12 at Stabler Arena in Bethlehem.

Online court records show the disorderly conduct charge was filed Monday in the Northampton County office of Magisterial District Judge Patricia A. Romig-Passaro.

No appearance date has been set, according to the online court records.
