1. Parkland Football
Where/When: At at on Friday, Sept. 16. Pre-game musical show at 6:30 p.m. Game begins at 7 p.m. Halftime show at 8 p.m.
Why Go: This is a big night for football, as Parkland plays its rival Emmaus, AND for Parkland's new and BIGGER , which debuts at the pre-game and halftime shows with 140 members.

Also, football teams from 1996-97 (District Champions and East Penn Conference Champions), 1997-98, 1998-99 (District Champions) will be recognized during the game.
Price: Tickets for adults are $3; students, $2; seniors and children 5 and under are free.

Where/When: Saturday, Sept. 17, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Pennsylvania Expo Center, 501 Cetronia Road in South Whitehall.
Why Go: Learn how to keep your family safe and to prepare for emergencies. Fun activities and prizes available for attendees of all ages, including a scavenger hunt sponsored by the American Red Cross. Area police departments will provide ID-a-Kid, DUI and underage drinking awareness and K-9 demonstrations. Sponsored by South Whitehall, Upper Macungie and North Whitehall.
Price: Free.
3. Indoor Auto Show
Where/When: At the now through Sunday, Sept. 18, during mall hours.
Why Go: Rothrock’s, of South Whitehall, has next-to-new indoor auto show. Check out the more than 30 vehicles while doing some window shopping, or get started on holiday shopping – only 100 days till Christmas.
Price: Free to look.
4. Road Jamboree
Where/When: America On Wheels Museum on Saturday, Sept. 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why Go: The Road Jamboree will feature all modes of over-the-road transportation and will host a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. At 11 a.m. there will be a demonstration by the Lehigh Valley Roller Girls; at 1 p.m. Alan Bay will present a demonstration on “Fibreglass Technology: Organic Design with Fibreglass & Plywood;" and all day demonstrations by the Low Rider Connection Bike Club. You’ll also have the chance to get behind the wheel of some Mack Trucks.
Price: Outdoor activities are free. Adult museum admission will be discounted to $5 and children 8 and under will be free.
5. Drop-in Storytime
Where/When: At the off Walbert Avenue on Friday, Sept. 16, from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Why Go: Gather the family for an outside (weather permitting) storytime for all ages.
Price: Free. No registration required.
