Township Names New Public Works Director

Tony Ganguzza has been on the job a week, having started Sept. 26.

Tony Ganguzza, a 44-year-old engineer who has worked in the private sector for more than 20 years as well as served municipalities, is South Whitehall's new public works director.

Ganguzza, of Upper Macungie, began the job on Monday, Sept. 26.

He succeeds long-time director , who died in July.

Ganguzza is the principal in TMG Consulting Engineers, LLC, in Upper Macungie. He also has worked as an engineer for Rettew Associates and Schoor DePalma and has been an appointed municipal engineer and certified public works director for area municipalities, according to information on South Whitehall's website.

He has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Widener University.

"Tony brings a level of professionalism and expertise never before seen in the township," said township Manager Jon Hammer. "His being a licensed engineer provides us with the ability to add a higher level of service to the residents and businesses of the township. 

"Aside from his professional acumen, he is a dedicated leader, committed to serving the residents of South Whitehall Township."

Ganguzza's annual salary is $99,000.
