Parkland Names New Golf Coach

The school board appointed Jack Mondschein on Tuesday night.

The Parkland school board named Jack Mondschein, a long-time teacher and coach, as the district's new varsity golf coach at its meeting Tuesday.

Mondschein, 33, is spring track coach, handling throwing events, and a former football coach. He teaches business and runs 's Leo Club and Mock Trial Club.

Mondschein replaces Jeff Bartman, who resigned.

In a prepared release, Mondschein said his goals will be to provide supervision and guidance to returning golfers to help them to reach their highest potential and to provide additional coaching to those still developing their game. 

He will be paid the contracted stipend.
