Parkland Sends Six Wrestlers To State Tourney

The PIAA wrestling tournament begins Thursday at the Giant Center in Hershey.

Parkland High School, which won the District 11 wrestling championship late last month, will send six wrestlers to the PIAA 3A individual wrestling championships that begin Thursday at the Giant Center in Hershey.

The participating wrestlers, with their records, are:

  • 106 pounds: Jacob Lizak (38-6).
  • 113 pounds: Ethan Lizak (40-2). Lizak is a District 11 and Northeast Regional champion.
  • 138 pounds: Josh Ortman (38-11). Ortman is a District 11 champion.
  • 182 pounds: Nezar Haddad (39-8). Haddad is a District 11 champion.
  • 195 pounds: Omar Haddad (33-16).
  • 220 pounds: Sean Heist (41-9).

The Trojans are coached by District 11 Coach of the Year Ryan Nunamaker.
