You Make Me Crazy!!!

"OMG! You are making me crazy! I'm going to the gym to clear my head!" I can't tell you how many times I've said that to my family because they're arguing over who gets to eat the last pancake at breakfast or one person gets cold water in the shower when someone else turned on the washing machine or flushed the toilet. Definitely clearing my head by getting in a good workout or going for a walk helps me to be a lot calmer around my family, and most of the time I actually do get along with them.

But we all have people we know who make us crazy, and I'm not just talking about the person who cuts their toenails in bed or who drinks milk out of the jug. I certainly have a few people who come to mind who drive me nuts. Some are disrespectful to me and clueless that they have to respect my boundaries and wishes. Or I get mad at the speed demon in a hot rod car who cuts in front of me on the highway without using turn signals. Or sometimes, it's actually my family and friends who really irritate me if I ask for help and they turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to my requests.

On Tuesday mornings at 10 am, there is a small group Bible study forming at my church to discuss what the Bible has to say about interpersonal relationships and also view Rick Warren's DVD sermon series called "You Make Me Crazy". I am hoping to get to the group tomorrow morning to find out more about it and possibly decide to stay in it. If you are interested in joining it, I go to Jordan United Church of Christ, 1837 Church Road, Allentown, PA 18104 (in South Whitehall Township near the intersection of Route 309 and Walbert Ave.) Call the church office at 610-395-2218 and speak to our Associate Pastor Wally Frisch to find out more about it. He'll be happy to answer any questions you have about the study or about the church. I will definitely blog more about the session when it's over, and share what I've learned about having good relationships with others even when they "make us crazy"!!!
