You Make Me Crazy, Part 2
Well, I never made it to the small group study on Rick Warren's "You Make Me Crazy" DVD, but this topic really has me thinking. I try to have good coping skills when I am trying to resolve a conflict with someone I'm not particularly fond of at that particular moment. But that wasn't always the case for me, and I still have a lot to learn about how to be a better friend to others. But why is it that some people have great ways of de-stressing and handling the people who make us crazy, like going for a walk to clear their head before they talk about the issues with other people or setting and redrawing good boundaries with others and themselves? Why do some people turn to destructive behaviors like getting addicted to drugs, food, sex, alcohol, porn, gambling, or even a seemingly innocent hobby when they can't deal with interpersonal relationships? I'm not sure I have a lot of answers to these questions, but I would love to hear your thoughts on them.
