Forrest Beers Dreams A Little Dream with IronPigs

Cedarbrook resident Forrest Beers got his wish to see a ballgame when Cedarbrook-Allentown launched its "Dream a Little Dream" program with the help of OAA Orthopaedic Specialists.

nursing home recently launched its "Dream a Little Dream" program with the help of OAA Orthopaedic Specialists, making it possible for resident and avid baseball fan Forrest Beers to see an IronPigs game with family and friends.

Cedarbrook-Allentown's program is a chapter of Second Wind Dreams, a nationwide organization focused on granting dreams for those living in nursing homes, assisted living facilities and other elder care communities.

Beers' outing at Coca-Cola Park in late April came courtesy of OAA, which offered its suite to Cedarbrook for its inaugural "dream." Joining Beers at the game were other Cedarbrook residents, family and a volunteer, who also enjoyed ballpark food and joined in singing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game." Mascots Ferrous and Fefe delivered an IronPigs jersey to Beers during the game.
